Residency Interview Hosting
Pritzker students journey across the nation to interview for residency programs during their fourth year. Some visit 40 institutions or more and face considerable travel costs. You can help to ease this financial burden by hosting a student when they visit your area. In addition to having a place to stay, students find it extremely helpful to meet with an alumnus/a to learn about the community where they may end up living and practicing.
A Day in the Life
Through this program, you can invite a student to shadow you in your professional life for 1 - 5 days, giving them a sneak peak at life after graduation. Students apply to participate in this program, which takes place over their spring break, and are selected by a committee of alumni and faculty. This program is a critical way for students to gain a better understanding of the specialties they are considering.
University Alumni Careers Network
As an Alumni Careers Contact, you will be listed in the University's online
Alumni Careers Network, and can expect an occasional call or e-mail from a student or alumnus/a interested in learning more about your work. The Careers Network connects students and alumni from around the University and the world. More than 14,000 alumni from 31 countries volunteer for this program. Students tell us they receive some of their most valuable career advice from Alumni Careers Contacts.
