Thursday, June 5

Friday, June 6

Alumni Café: Your Reunion Headquarters

Start your day with registration in Alumni Café. Throughout the day, linger here with old friends or stop by for up-to-the-minute event information. A shuttle will run throughout the day between Alumni Café, campus activities and the downtown hotels. A complete shuttle schedule will be available in Alumni Café. Snacks and beverages will also be available throughout the day.

Alumni-Faculty Luncheon and Gold Key Award Presentation

Enjoy lunch with your classmates and distinguished faculty as the 2008 Gold Key Award is presented to retiring faculty members. The Gold Key Award recognizes outstanding and loyal service to the Biological Sciences Division and to the University of Chicago.

Alumni Awards Reception and Reunion Class Dinners

Join your classmates and other Biological Sciences Division alumni for a reception at the Chicago Club and the presentation of the 2008 Distinguished Service Awards and the 2008 Reunion Participation Awards. Following the reception, each class will gather together to celebrate their milestone year in a private dining room.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes alumni who have brought honor and distinction to the Division, the Medical School, and the University of Chicago by demonstrating outstanding leadership in and making significant contributions to medicine and/or the biological sciences through basic research, clinical care, health service administration, or public service.

Alumni Emeriti Champagne Breakfast

Dean James L. Madara will host a breakfast honoring Alumni Emeriti and the 50th reunion class. Alumni from the class of 1958 will be officially inducted into the Alumni Emeriti Society.

This event is exclusively for Alumni Emeriti - classes prior to and including 1958.

Join current Pritzker School of Medicine students for a walking tour of the history and architecture that distinguishes the University of Chicago. Revisit favorite places and see newer buildings, including the Comer Children's Hospital (2005), the Gordon Center for Integrative Science (2005), the Comer Center for Children and Specialty Care (2006) and the sight of the future Knapp Center for Biomedical Discovery.

Beginning with a colorful banner procession into Rockefeller Chapel, the annual Alumni Convocation celebrates University tradition and achievement.

ChicaGO Party
7:00 PM - Midnight
Ratner Athletics Center
East 56th Street and Ellis Avenue

Weekend festivities culminate in the annual University-wide gala on Saturday night. It's a party so big that only the Ratner Athletics Center can hold it. Come at 7:00 PM for a dinner buffet, drinks, and live music; or arrive after 9:30 PM and pay a reduced price for dessert, drinks, and dancing.

Alumni Leadership Celebration

Join us Saturday evening for an unforgettable night aboard the Anita Dee on Lake Michigan as we honor our Leadership Society members. Event details are forthcoming.

The Alumni Leadership Celebration is exclusively for Leadership Society Members (alumni and faculty who have donated $1500 or more to the Biological Sciences Division in the current or previous fiscal year) in gratitude for their generous support.
