The Medical & Biological Sciences Annual Funds
The Medical & Biological Sciences Annual Funds calendar begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 of the following year. The Annual Funds are crucial to the Division of the Biological Sciences and the Pritzker School of Medicine because they support the University of Chicago's most urgent needs.
Annual Funds gifts work collectively to sustain interdisciplinary programs, maintain cutting-edge teaching environments, and offer students competitive financial assistance.
Every gift to the Annual Funds makes a difference. Gifts from alumni and friends help provide the funds required to train and educate future physicians, scientists, and teachers. Currently, the Division of the Biological Sciences provides PhD students with 100% financial support for four years of study, and offers over 80% of Pritzker medical students some type of financial assistance. Generous scholarships and loans, made possible by the generosity of alumni, ensure that the University of Chicago continues to compete for extraordinarily bright and diverse students, regardless of their financial standing.
