Charitable giving to the Division of the Biological Sciences and the Pritzker School of Medicine is rewarding in many ways. There is the satisfaction of supporting an important cause, the excitement of seeing your gift lead to positive change, and in many cases, tangible financial benefits to you and/or another beneficiary, through tax advantages and the retention of lifetime income from the donated asset.
The Division of the Biological Sciences and the University of Chicago Hospitals are contributing to The CHICAGO Initiative with their own $550 million campaign, Spark Discovery, Illuminate Life.
The CHICAGO Initiative
The University of Chicago is currently in a $2 billion capital campaign that will enable the University to continue to pursue and share knowledge that will change the world. Priorities of The CHICAGO Initiative include strengthening the community of scholars and teachers, ensuring access to a Chicago education, transcending barriers in science and research, cultivating the landscape for learning and increasing annual giving to the University. The Campaign began in 2002 and will conclude in 2006.
Within The CHICAGO Initiative, the Medical & Biological Sciences Alumni Association Council has established a goal of $22 million. Please see below for the many ways you can help to reach that goal.
